Salute to the Flag and Roll Call.

Supervisor Griffin called the Public Hearing to order at 8:40 p.m. with 45 in attendance.

Mr. Liguori, Town Counsel, read the following legal notice:

Mr. Griffin stated if anyone has any questions, please come up to the microphone and ask your question.

Ms. Marilyn Keeler stated I have a question as to the fact that how can the Town pay for property or roads to be worked on in a private development that has a homeowners association. We have been told in the past that Town money cannot be spent on anything on our side of the lake. We know that sidewalks were put in over here in the Town of Patterson that we paid for too. We don’t use the Town of Patterson sidewalks.

Mr. Griffin stated I don’t use your dam so I have to pay for that. It all kind of washes out.

Ms. Keeler stated no, it doesn’t.

Mr. Griffin stated trust me, I’ve seen the bills for Putnam Lake Dam and I’ve seen the bills for the sidewalk. It way more than washes out. Anyway, to answer your question the improvements will be at the homeowners expense. They will pay to have the road brought up to Town standards as per how the Town Engineer and Town Highway Superintendent specify after which the Town will take those roads for dedication.

Ms. Keeler stated when you say for dedication what do you mean.

Mr. Griffin stated what will happen is the drainage repairs will be effected. There are a lot of trees that need to be cut and removed. There are a number of other improvements that need to be made and they will have all those improvements done at their expense and then the road will become the property of the Town to be taken over and maintained from that point on.

Ms. Keeler stated so even though it is in a private development they will become public roads.

Mr. Griffin stated yes.

Mr. Burns made a motion to close the Public Hearing at 8:45 p.m.

Seconded by Mrs. Nacerino. All In Favor: Aye. Carried.

Respectfully Submitted,
