The Town Board is the main governing body in the Town of Patterson. The Supervisor is the chief elected official, and serves a term of 4 years. Town Councilman serve terms of 4 years.
The Town Board typically meets twice each month, but please consult the Town Board calendar for specific meeting dates and times. These regularly scheduled Board meetings are open to the public. A specific agenda is followed in each meeting, but there is usually time at the end of each meeting for "public recognition", during which attendees are welcome to ask questions or make comments.
If you have an item that you would like to bring to the Board's attention, please contact the Supervisor's office and leave a message for the Supervisor or a Councilman. You may request that your issue be added to an agenda for a future Board meeting. The Supervisor and all Councilmen are available to assist you in resolving any matter of concern for which you need Town assistance.
The Town of Patterson serves as one of the regulatory overseers for Comcast Cable. Problems or concerns with Comxast Cable service can be brought to the attention of Councilman Gerald Herbst. Councilman Herbst is also the liaison with Comcast Cable for the Senior Citizen Discount program.

Services Available through the Supervisor's Office
The Supervisor’s Office is implementing a Subscriber’s List to provide Residents with electronic notification of relevant topics posted to the town website website. For more information and to subscribe click here.
Residents with severe disabilities can contact the Supervisor's Office for the NYS DMV application for special license plates or parking permits. Permits are made available to residents with valid driver's licenses who have a doctor-certified physical impairment. The Supervisor's Office can supply Notary services for Town residents.
