Overview

Pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law of the State of New York the court has two elected justices. Prior to entering upon the duties of office, each town justice must take and subscribe a constitutional oath which is filed with the municipal clerk and also with the Office of Court Administration of the State of New York.

Town justices serve for a term of 4 years.

Court Sessions for Judge King:

Vehicle & Traffic Court, small claims, and civil matters will be every Monday at 5 PM.
Criminal Court will be every third Thursday at 5 PM.

Court Sessions for Judge Molé:

Vehicle & Traffic Court and civil matters will be every Tuesday at 5:30 PM
Criminal Court will be the second Thursday at 5:30 PM

Judges are on call 24 hours to arraign any persons who are arrested.
