Town Hall Emergency Number

An after-hours voice mailbox has been created for town emergencies that require the notification of a town official. To use the system, call the main Town Hall main number at 845-878-6500 and request mailbox #32 at the prompt. The Town Hall phone system will contact a town official after you leave your message.

Please remember to dial 911 for all emergencies requiring police, fire, or emergency medical assiatance.

Recycling Center Permits
2008 Recycling Permits are now on sale. Residents are reminded to please bring the registration of the vehicle(s) they plan on using when going to the recycling center. We will not be able to issue permits without proper proof of residency. Fees are as follows:

One car: $8.00
Two cars: $10.00
Commercial: $125.00

Our Town / Limestone Gulch DVDs
The supervisor's office has a limited number of DVD copies of the restored versions of these films for sale to the general public for a small fee. Please contact the Town Clerk's office for more information at 845-878-6500.

These films offer a glimpse of life in Patterson in 1960. More information on these films can be found on the Town's history website, which can be reached by clicking the "Town History" button at the top of this page. Once on the site, click the "Topics" link and look for either the "Our Town" or "1960s" links.

The Town is also searching for the "Our Town - 1957" film for possible restoration. If you know the whereabouts of the film, please contact us via the "info" email link that can be found on the "Topics" page of the history website.

FOIL Requests (Freedom of Information Law)
FOIL requests are handled by the office of the Town Clerk. Requests for information must be made in writing, either by submitting a FOIL Request Form to the Town Clerk or by submitting an electronic request via the link on the Town Clerk information page. Putnam Lake Water Quality
The Putnam County Dept. of Health has published its "Action Plan for Continued Surveillance in the Putnam Lake Area". The Action Plan and the latest Nitrate and Bacteria Sampling Results for the Putnam Lake Area are available on the Putnam County DOH website.

Homeowners can take advantage of low cost loans and grants for septic and other home improvements through a program administered by the Putnam County Housing Corporation. Income restrictions apply. [details]

Stormwater Management in Patterson
The Planning Dept., in conjunction with the NYC DEP, has created an information website on the topic of Stormwater Management. The site contains information on the causes and effects of stormwater runoff, and gives tips to homeowners on how common erosion and pollution problems can be avoided. The site can be accessed by selecting "Stormwater Management" on the left side menu.
